Integrity Testing

CFN consultants provide a bespoke integrity testing service which can be administered on-line, with instant computer-generated reports for job applicants screening. Integrity testing can also be carried out on existing staff both at an individual or departmental level to highlight issues relating to risk of dishonest behaviours, or other threats to the organisation.Thus integrity testing can assist in the evaluation of candidate's honesty, value system and loyalty to the organisation.This procedure requires the full consent of the candidate. Our service can also be used to periodically evaluate existing employees for trustworthiness.

CFN provides comprehensive psychological reports on Police, Prison Officer and other Public Safety Personnel. A battery of psychological tests provide data for reporting on screening public safety job applicants and current safety employees who are referred for evaluation for reasons such as mandated fitness for duty, weapon carrying screening, and a variety of special unit assignments such as Hostage Negotiation and Armed Response Units; including the latest M-PULSE Inventory - Matrix-Predictive Uniform Enforcement Selection Inventory.

The process usually includes:

  1. A review of background information;
  2. Psychological testing using assessment instruments to evaluate personality, psychopathology, neurocognitive status, and any other appropriate issue;
  3. An extensive clinical interview
  4. Referral, if necessary, to other specialist services, such as polygraph examination.

The report allows for a contrast of profiles with applicants applying for public safety jobs against normative data from four classifications: police, communications dispatcher, prison officer and firefighter who successfully completed the employment screening procedures, and achieved a good standard of work for one year.

The specific focus of this evaluation is to indentify risk factors that are likely to impede sucessful work functioning; for example: problems managing stress, impulsivity, charactereological flaws, and poor attitudes to work.

CFN Limited uses innovative investigation technologies such as Adaptive Profiling Systems - a computerised, non-invasive psychological profiling system, which analyses non-verbal facial behaviours. Developed by the Intelligent Systems Group at Manchester Metropolitan University. This has specific utility for providing expert system support in security vetting procedures, and is being researched for other applications.
