Threat Assessment
The Centre for Forensic Neuroscience specialises in the prevention of workplace violence; thus our expertise in a range of disciplines, including, forensic psychology/neuropsychology, and law provides consultation to companies in order to protect their employees and corporate assets from a range of threats such as:
- Disgruntled current or former employees
- Stalking and Harassment
- Threatening communications from the public, or other individuals
- Threats from malicious tampering with goods or services
- Violent behaviours in the workplace
Our services include a rapid assessment of the potential psychological damage, and provision of effective mitigation strategies. If necessary, an employment screening interview can be arranged to identify any competency or fitness for duty areas of concern. A full victim aftercare programme can be instigated where necessary.
We provide expertise in supporting and advising individuals who are the victims of stalking and harassment using the Guidelines for Stalking Assessment and Management, developed by Dr P. Randall Kropp, Dr Stephen Hart and Dr David R Lyon. In addition we use front line instruments such as the Intimate Partner Violence Risk Assessment, developed by: Dr Jacquelyn C Campbell PhD RN FAAN. Working in accordance with the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, and the Stalking and Harassment Consultation Paper by the Scottish Executive, we dispatch agencies to ensure the personal protection of the victim.
